Uzbekistan Airways has finalized an order for eight additional Boeing (NYSE:BA) 787-9 Dreamliner jets, expanding its long‑haul fleet as the Central Asian carrier pursues international growth.
The deal, signed during the C5+1 Summit in Washington, converts earlier options into firm orders and brings the airline’s total Dreamliner commitments to 22 aircraft.
The agreement follows a preliminary announcement in September that included 14 firm jets and eight options, valued at more than $8 billion at list prices.
Boeing said the 787‑9s will enable Uzbekistan Airways to expand routes across Europe, Asia, and North America while improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions.
The order adds to Boeing’s backlog of wide‑body jets as the U.S. planemaker seeks to strengthen its foothold in fast‑growing Central Asian markets.
Should you invest $2,000 in BA right now?
Most investors will find it hard to answer that question with total confidence. Short of a guarantee, which no one can give you, the most successful traders stick to proven best practices without letting hype or hyper‑vigilance take over their better judgment.
